Celebrate Native American Heritage Day at one of our Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian locations! While they may share many similarities, such as entry rotundas and amazing exhibits, they are also very different. Our New York location opened in 1994 and is based in the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House, built in the early 1900s. Our D.C. location opened on the National Mall 10 years later.
