Mar 18, 2025 · After spending more than nine months orbiting Earth, two U.S. astronauts finally returned home on March 18, splashing down at 5:57 p.m. EDT off Florida’s Gulf coast. Suni Williams and Butch ...

  3. Space missions spanned the solar system in 2024 - Science News

Dec 6, 2024 · Space missions spanned the solar system in 2024. Chang’e 6 nabbed moon dirt, Percy found hints of ancient life on Mars and Europa Clipper launched

  4. Hypercone Hypothesis: Rethinking Light Cones in a Hyperspherical ...

Jan 2, 2024 · The full circumference of a hypersphere’s 3D space is given by (2\pi R). The observable radius from within the hypersphere (following a geodesic path) is ( \pi R ) / 2, which is half that circumference. So, if the true hyperspherical radius is ( R ) in four-dimensional space, a person on the 3D surface would measure the radius as: [\frac{\pi ...

  5. Question - Is it only me, or does the solar system ... - Space.com …

Nov 27, 2020 · Boiled down to it's essence the entire universe is mostly that (void) space and about .01% or less of everything else. Infinite regression of a universe is quite possible. A galaxy of universes just 1 galaxy in a galaxy of universe universes ETC If more than 1 universe exists nature will have grander structures like that.

Jun 11, 2025 · It elegantly combines the idea that while space expands uniformly (much like points on a balloon moving apart), light's trajectory remains defined by the geometry of spacetime itself—a geometry in which light’s path is always at a 45-degree angle.

  7. Question - CYCLIC UNIVERSE | Page 11 | Space.com Forums

Jun 21, 2025 · We prove that for a finitely generated free group, there is a comeager conjugacy class in the space of minimal actions, as well as in the space of minimal, probability measure-preserving actions. We also identify the two classes: the first one is the Fraïssé limit of all sofic minimal subshifts and the second, the universal profinite action.

  9. As Expansion continues, Time speeds up, True or False?

Jan 2, 2024 · In our evolving universe, space is expanding (due to dark energy?), causing regions with lower mass density to experience faster time progression than dense areas. My question suggests that the universe, as a whole, is expanding (without additional mass added) and lowering mass density and therefore the 'proper time ' (Cosmic Time) is speeding up.
