Not only ordinary Narra wood, it seems like the Narra burl can also be used as a veneer if that is possible. If that happens, it will be a very beautiful and unique burl.

Narra is moderately dense, easy to work with, and takes finishes beautifully, resulting in a smooth and polished surface. Highly valued for its versatility, it is commonly used for furniture, cabinetry, veneers, turned items, decorative inlays, and musical instruments.

Characteristics: Heartwood varies widely in color from golden-yellow to reddish-brown. Grain is usually interlocked and can sometimes be wavy, or display a variety of figuring. Texture is medium with small pores. Very limited in availability. …

Other common names: New Guinea rosewood, Burma rosewood, angsana, sena and sometimes its highly figured veneers are marketed as amboyna. The tree: Narra yellow is an evergreen, reaching heights of 80 to 100 ft. with a large, spreading crown and trunk diameters of 3 to 6 ft. above high, wide spreading buttresses.

Our veneers are raw, unspliced, not backed or pre-finished. Pictures are representations only, please contact us for specific availability. Lengths and widths vary just as individual logs vary. We use solid kiln-dried woods like Narra, Acacia, Molave, Kamagong, Teak, Tanguile, Mahogany, Yakal and Guijo, and others as raw materials. We also use veneers and laminated boards (MDF, Particle Boards) and others by request.
