Nov 18, 2020 · HI all. New to this Reddit. Played thru DS1 for 1st time, now trying hand st DS2. Having some trouble with Old Draginslayer. Wondering why I can't summon (yes, I made sure I was human). Are there other conditions preventing me from summoning? I don't understand why the game creators would block me from summoning NPCs just cuz I'm offline.

Some of the AoE healing spells have pretty good coverage to heal up npcs running around. There was that video a while back where a guy beat Fume Knight by literally just healing Carhillion and Steelheart Ellie, and they were running around Fume Knight's big arena, so it's definitely possible to heal up your guys at Black Gulch.

Dec 17, 2017 · Well, for not being able to find players it could be a soul memory problem, and NPCs only help in certain boss fights, you can read the wiki if you want to know which ones. There are some bosses that NPCs and players don't help you with just because they are too easy, like the Prowling Magus. Some don't have NPC summons like the Pursuer.
