Nicholas Brown (died 1726, first name also Nicolas) was an English pirate and guarda costa privateer who was active off the coast of Jamaica during the early 18th century.

Reaper was the flagship of the English pirate Dawg Brown during the late 17th century. Brown was known for his cruelty, killing a crew member when he complained about food; he claimed that the ship needed less mouths, not more food.

Known as the Grand Pirate, Brown was once given a royal pardon but returned to piracy, attacking ships off the coast of Jamaica. He was eventually captured by a childhood friend, John Drudge. Brown died from wounds sustained in his capture.
