OTOH, mine was more preventative in nature and corrosion was based on 'wear and tear' (things in and out of the bed) as well as hauling kayaks out of salt water. But nothing like you pictured. I'm not buying the 'rust free underneath' bit.

The more space it gets the quicker it wears out until the floor of the bed drops away from the washer of the securing bolt. The bed is now loose and bangs up and down. This pic is a severe case.
