President Donald Trump reiterated his shock at Socialist Zohran Mamdani winning the Democratic primary for the NYC mayoral election, as he had earlier, but this time it came with a threat of not giving any money to NYC.

New York City’s Democratic mayoral candidate, 33-year-old Zohran Mamdani, has not held back on his criticism of President Donald Trump. “I am Donald Trump’s worst nightmare,” Mamdani said during the mayoral debate earlier this month.

Zohran Mamdani spoke at a rally in Harlem as he sought to build on momentum from New York City’s Democratic primary.

A few months ago, the “no-name” state assemblyman seemed destined to lose to Andrew Cuomo. On election night, he redrew the city’s political maps.
