The 2025 cohort of U.S. Rhodes Scholars was announced Saturday. The 32 Scholars will attend Oxford University next October for their graduate studies in various fields.

After two rounds of preliminary interviews and a challenging application process, the Rhodes Scholars-Elect for India 2025 have been selected. Five students from India have earned the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship.

Nearly 3,000 U.S. students began the application process for the scholarship covering all expenses at the storied university in Oxford, England, to pursue graduate degrees beginning in October 2025. Two Iowa students were among the 32 ultimately chosen for the prestigious award.

According to a press release, the five scholars were selected following a competitive application process and two rounds of preliminary interviews.
