The winter storm that hit North Carolina Friday into early Saturday morning was weak in the Triangle with less than an inch of snowfall in Wake County. But, elsewhere,

By mid-afternoon Sunday, light snow was falling in North Carolina around Winston-Salem and Greensboro — with reports of flurries in Burlington. North Carolina Department of Transportation cameras showed snowfall in areas north of and in Winston-Salem and Greensboro.

An updated winter weather advisory was issued by the NWS Newport/Morehead City NC on Friday at 1:44 p.m. valid from 4 p.m. until Saturday 10 a.m. The advisory is for Martin, Pitt, Greene and Lenoir counties.
