There has been widespread concern expressed over the impact Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill" could have on American health care.

Legislation passed by the Senate on Tuesday could affect how people sign up for Medicaid and the insurance marketplaces, and where they can get care.

Health care advocates, provider groups and at least one Senate Republican hammered the cuts in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act of 2025, saying they would harm patients and providers. Nevertheless, Republicans passed the measure that supports the president’s tax agenda, along with enhanced defense and border security spending.
