The United States men's national team and Mexico both face easier-than-expected opponents in the semifinals of the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup.

Concacaf Gold Cup has wrapped up the group stage. Following three matches for each team, the knockout bracket is settled. The group stage consisted of 16 nations competing in four groups. The top two in each group advanced to the knockout bracket where they were seeded based on whether they finished first or second in their group.

The group stage of the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup has concluded, and we know who the U.S. men's national team will face in the quarterfinals. Entering Sunday's group stage games, there was a possibility that the U.S. could play Mexico in the quarterfinals – the earliest the two rivals would have met in the history of this tournament.
