Erik Brannstrom scored the go-ahead goal early in the third period and the Vancouver Canucks added a pair of late empty-netters in a 4-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks.

At 4:25 of the third period, first-year Canuck Eric Brannstrom scored the first game-winning goal of his career and his second with his new team, one-timing the puck from the left boards through traffic and between the legs of Blackhawks goalie Arvid Soderblom.

In case you missed it Tuesday night, the Vancouver Canucks pulled off a solid victory over their rival Calgary Flames, thanks in large part to recently acquired defenseman Erik Brannstrom. Brannstrom scored his first goal and a Canuck and kick started the team's offence in the 3rd period.
