Warner Bros./Apple’s “F1” is picking up speed with strong word-of-mouth this weekend, heading for a $58 million opening weekend from 3,661 theaters while Universal/Blumhouse’s “M3GAN 2.0” is earning less than half of its 2023 predecessor with an estimated opening of just $10 million.

Apple Studios is scoring its biggest opening ever with the Brad Pitt racing thriller "F1," headed for first in its box office debut. Meanwhile, Universal's "M3GAN 2.0" isn't catching the same spark in its opening,
