Christopher Bocog, a Bay Area musician and rapper known as “Oopz,” was among the seven people killed in a fireworks explosion that destroyed a facility in Esparto earlier this month, his family confirmed.

As Hayward police officers responded to a house fire Thursday afternoon, where they found a man with injuries “consistent with a fireworks-related explosion,” another explosion rocked the scene. The home and nearby areas were evacuated, according to a press release from the agency.
