Bob Uecker, who transformed his futility as a baseball player into a successful second career as a baseball broadcaster, humorist and comic actor in television, film and commercials, died Jan. 16 at 90.

Bob Uecker, the legendary voice of the Milwaukee Brewers who was nicknamed “Mr. Baseball,” has died aged 90, the team announced on Thursday.

Bob Uecker, longtime Milwaukee Brewers broadcaster known as "Mr. Baseball," died at the age of 90. Born and raised in Milwaukee, he spent six seasons as a catcher in the MLB. He later went on to become a Hall of Fame announcer for his hometown team.
