Made mostly during the first half of the 20th century, it’s the vernacular (folk art) concrete grave marker — usually a round-topped simple slab, handmade by a member of the family or a friend.

A simple grave marker was dedicated Saturday to Titanic survivor Eino Lindquist, who died from a stroke at Napa State Hospital in 1958, at age 66. The RMS Titanic sank on April 15, 1912.
