The Detroit Tigers may be on the cusp of making an absolutely massive addition to their bullpen. According to a report from MLB insider Jon Heyman, the Tigers are closing in on a deal with New York Yankees right-handed reliever Tommy Kahnle.

After missing out on the Juan Soto sweepstakes, the Yankees turned their attention to improving their run prevention. That meant bolstering the starting rotation by signing left-hander Max Fried to a record $218 million deal in free agency.
