Joseph A. "Buddy" LaFortune Jr., an oilman and father of a former Tulsa mayor, died Friday. He was 86.

According to the Oklahoma Historical Society, Robert LaFortune was born in Tulsa in 1927 and acted as city mayor from 1970-1978.
