Goku's an amazing hero, but he's never been a good father by Dragon Ball standards, and especially not real life standards.

Closely resembling Kid Goku in appearance, Goten also exists to fill the expected absence of the series' hero during the brief period when Gohan was planned to become the new protagonist.
