Wednesday night SpaceX launch from Kennedy Space Center sends SpainSat to orbit
The SpainSat NG-1 satellite launched right on time at 8:34 p.m. from Kennedy Space Center's Pad 39A. The rocket rumbled loudly as it headed on an eastern trajectory. Just over eight minutes into the flight, the second-stage and satellite safely reached Earth orbit.

Tonight: SpaceX to launch rocket carrying Spanish satellite from Florida’s Space Coast
The company hopes to launch a Falcon 9 rocket from the Kennedy Space Center. The rocket will carry and send the SpainSat NG I, a Spanish telecommunications satellite, into orbit. If needed, SpaceX has arranged for a backup launch window for Thursday night.
