North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has paid his respects at the mausoleum of his father, late leader Kim Jong-il, on the anniversary of his birthday, state media reported Monday, marking his first reported visit to the family mausoleum on the late leader's birth anniversary in four years.

The first tour is set to take place Feb. 12 to 18, when major celebrations are planned for the birthday of the country's late leader Kim Jong Il, one of North Korea's biggest holidays.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visited the Kumsusan Palace of Sun in Pyongyang for the first time in four years to commemorate the birthday of his late father, Kim Jong Il, known as the Day of the Shining
