An earlier shuttle, Enterprise, was used for early testing and then disassembled. Icons of space flight they undoubtedly are, but the shuttle programme has been marked by very public tragedy.

The set will be available to LEGO Insiders loyalty club members from May 15 and for general purchase from May 18.
