Bob Veale, who holds the Pittsburgh Pirates’ single-season strikeout record for a pitcher in baseball’s Modern Era, has died.

Benedictine College, located in Atchison, Kansas, shared through social media on Monday afternoon that its 53rd Annual Scholarship Ball is scheduled for Feb. 22, 2025.
