BOSTON — Cole Koepke won’t be in the Bruins lineup when they travel to Ottawa for a key division game. Mark Kastelic looks likely to be in the lineup against his former team. Hampus Lindholm practiced again in a non-contact jersey.

The Bruins defenseman has been working his way back from a lower-body injury suffered Nov. 12 in St. Louis with lots of off-ice rehab sessions and, lately, some solo on-ice workouts with skills coach John McLean.

Hampus Lindholm skated with the main group in a non-contact sweater at Wednesday’s practice for the first time since suffering a lower-body injury on Nov. 12 against the St. Louis Blues.

Three days ago marked two months since Boston Bruins defenseman was injured, and on Wednesday he finally spoke to the media for the first time since suffering his injury.

BOSTON – There was some progress on the Bruins injury front on Wednesday morning as both Hampus Lindholm and Mark Kastelic returned to practice with their teammates at Warrior Ice Arena donning maroon non-contact jerseys.

Boston Bruins defenseman Hampus Lindholm took a big step forward in his recovery on Wednesday. The left-shot blueliner participated at team practice in a non-contact jersey for the first time since suffering his lower-body injury back on Nov. 12 against the St. Louis Blues.

The Boston Bruins remain without Hampus Lindholm, although he was a participant in practice on Tuesday morning.

Lindholm will miss his 29th straight game versus Tampa Bay on Tuesday, and landing on LTIR won't impact his recovery timeline. He has been skating, but it remains unclear when he will be ready to return to the lineup.

Kicking off a busy end-of-January stretch for both teams, the Ottawa Senators host the Boston Bruins in a key Saturday afternoon clash of clubs on the Eastern Conference playoff bubble.

The other moves related to injury classifications, with franchise defenseman Charlie McAvoy surprisingly placed on the injured reserve list.
