The U.S. military has created a second military zone along the border with Mexico, adding an area in Texas where troops can temporarily detain migrants or trespassers to one designated in New Mexico last month.

The Defense Department says it has designated a second stretch on the U.S. border with Mexico as a military zone to enforce immigration laws.

The new military zone has been designated as the “Texas National Defense Area," by the Trump administration as they continue their crackdown against migrants
