The João Pedro deal has gone from zero to one-hundred in short order, with Fabrizio Romano reporting this morning that the 23-year-old forward has passed his Chelsea medical. All that’s left now are the formalities and announcements for his move from Brighton & Hove Albion.

The talk around Chelsea’s supposed interest in João Pedro has suddenly become very serious very quickly, with The Athletic reporting today (Sunday) that we have agreed a transfer with Brighton & Hove Albion for a fee “in excess of £50million”.

Jamie Gittens was born in Reading, played in the Reading academy, and spent time at Chelsea and Manchester City before heading to Germany in 2020 to continue his footballing journey. He returns this summer as a 20-year-old.
