Bryson DeChambeau pointed out the obvious Tuesday when he spoke to the media prior to this week’s PGA Championship, calling Quail Hollow “a bomber's paradise.” What he didn’t say was that the sprawling layout was a perfect fit for his unique brand of bomber golf.

DeChambeau and McIlroy made up the last group in the final round of the Masters last month and it was McIlroy who overcame a double bogey on the first hole to eventually beat Justin Rose in a play-off and complete the career grand slam.
