As the Los Angeles Lakers attempt to remain in championship contention in the final seasons of LeBron James’ historic career, making solid moves on the margins

The Lakers can still trade for a big man ahead of the deadline but are going to add some size in the meantime. According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Los Angeles is planning to sign former New Orleans Pelicans center Trey Jemison. He was just recently waived by the team after playing in 16 games this season.

Jemison went undrafted in 2023 after playing five years in college for the Clemson Tigers and his hometown team, the University of Alabama-Birmingham Blazers, where he earned All-Conference USA third-team and All-Defensive team honors during his final year.

The Lakers made an interesting move on the friend of their roster as they try to improve on the margins this season.
