MADISON, Wis.– The Muskie fish migration lured spectators to the Wingra Dam to see the fish jump from Lake Monona to Lake Wingra.

The warm water fishing season officially kicks off Thursday, May 1, and runs through March 15, 2026. Anglers can harvest northern pike, pickerel, tiger muskie, and everybody’s favorite filet, walleye.
