It’s a new era at BYU. Brian Santiago will succeed Tom Holmoe as the school’s director of athletics, the school announced Tuesday evening. On Wednesday, Santiago was officially introduced by BYU at a press conference.

BYU is going with a familiar choice to replace longtime athletic director Tom Holmoe. Brian Santiago, Holmoe’s right hand for almost a decade, will get his crack at leading the department. Santiago has been at BYU since 1997,

BYU did not have to go far to find its new athletic director. Associate athletic director Brian Santiago has been named the successor to Tom Holmoe. Santiago has been with the BYU athletic department since 1997.
