Staal logged two assists, three shots on goal, two hits and two PIM in Thursday's 7-4 win over the Blue Jackets. Staal earned his first multi-point effort since Jan. 10 versus the Canucks, though he still chipped in two points over the five games in between.
Staal skated 431 games over six seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins, who drafted second overall in 2006, winning the Stanley Cup in 2009. He scored 120 goals and 248 points, earning All-Rookie Team honors and finishing third in Calder Trophy voting in 2006-07.
