Saquon Barkley sprinted 60 yards for a touchdown on his first carry of the NFC championship game and the Eagles running back never looked back
The officials ruled that one more jump by Luvu would take him out of the game. So as the Eagles lined up again, now within inches of the goal line, encroachment was called again, this time Jonathan Allen committing the infraction. He had already been offsides at the start of this mess, right before Luvu jumped twice.
For a second time in three years, the Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl bound. Forced turnovers during Sunday's 55-23 win over the Washington Commanders are a big reason why.  The Eagles parlayed four Commanders takeaways and one turnover on downs into 35 points.
In his first Super Bowl experience in February 2023, Brown recorded six catches for 96 yards and a touchdown but was unable to prevent his club from suffering a 38-35 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Brown had a key block on Jalen Hurts’ 44-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and another on Saquon Barkley’s 78-yarder in the snow late in the game. With a back like Barkley, the Eagles’ receivers know their effort on the perimeter could be the difference between a nice run and a home run.
While there are stars lining up on both sides of the ball for both teams, A.J. Brown’s game-breaking ability has the potential to be the biggest difference maker in New Orleans.
"This team we’re playing is a really good football team,” Patrick Mahomes says. Here's what else the Chiefs are saying about the Eagles
Philly's stars combined for six rushing touchdowns and the Eagles forced four turnovers Sunday, ending Washington's dream run.
Saquon Barkley continues his stellar debut season for the Eagles with three rushing scores to propel Philadelphia past Washington and into the Super Bowl.
After the NFC Championship Game between the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles receiver A.J. Brown had some strong things to say. As much as you might think they'd be negative given the energy entering, during, and even after the Commanders ' season-ending loss, they were actually pretty solid.
In another great sideline moment from the season, C.J. Gardner Johnson was mic’d up when he sang his own version of the song to DeJean on the sidelines. “Cooper DeJean is cornerback one; he locked down your number one option, yeah,” he sang to DeJean, who just smiled sheepishly.
