Some 30% of staff in Hong Kong will leave STAR TV as a result of News Corp.'s reshuffling of its broadcast businesses in Asia.

Announced back in December 2020, the Disney Plus Star channel will add a ton of TV shows and movies to the streaming service, content that didn't really "fit" Disney Plus before this.

Zee TV started off as a partner Hindi channel for the newly launched Star TV in the early 1990s but both parted ways after News Corp. bought Star TV from its founder, Hong Kong tycoon Li Ka-shing.
