Goddess Laxmi is one of the trinity (Goddess Parvati, Goddess Laxmi, and Goddess Saraswati) Goddess, who represents wealth, prosperity and good fortune. She is the consort of Lord Vishnu.

Throughout the night of Diwali puja, never leave the puja place unattended so that the lamp you light burns with a continuous supply of ghee or oil. Do not clap while singing Lakshmi aarti.

So, I am just praying that more Lakshmi ji comes to my ... house every year for Diwali puja. I would sit there like a seedhi saadhi bacchi, with full shraddha and doing aarti.
