Former conservative radio broadcaster Alan Jones has been arrested from his home in Sydney, NSW over allegations he inappropriately assaulted multiple young men.

Australian police on Monday charged former radio show host Alan Jones with 24 assault and sexual touching offenses, indictments that followed accusations in a newspaper that Jones had assaulted young men for decades.

The retired radio host, who was granted bail after being arrested, was accused of abusing eight victims over nearly 20 years.
