After a week of uncontrolled spillage, a leak pouring more than 70,000 gallons of oil into a Louisiana marsh ... marshlands that house wildlife like turtles, waterfowl, fish and shrimp.

The spill released an estimated 3,500 barrels, or 147,000 gallons of oil, onto farmland. The company says 700 barrels, or 29,400 gallons, have been recovered so far.
