Spirit Airlines said on Thursday it has received an approval to list its shares on the New York Stock Exchange, weeks after the low-cost carrier emerged from bankruptcy.

Spirit Airlines announced its common stock will be traded on the NYSE American exchange effective April 29, a move that management hopes will draw more investors.
