Jim Schumacher is building a 16-foot-diameter silo onto the barn that will contain the bathrooms, laundry, and heating/ventilation and air-conditioning systems when it is converted into a home.

The all-steel swine facility displays the latest technology for swine production, by creating a structure that is easier to build, and safer for the pigs.

Schumacher said at first with the robots, everything went well and the new equipment brought fresh life to the operation, and they were pleased with the “state-of-the-art” tunnel vent barn.
