While most Switch controllers are compatible with its successor, rumors suggest that Nintendo is working on more retro controllers for the Switch 2.

The only Switch 2 accessory I was concerned about was the new Switch 2 Pro controller, which is now priced at a whopping $80. I already have multiple Switch Pro controllers at home and would prefer not to have to buy a new version.
