Traditions Performance Firearms now has the new Prairie Hawken Rifle in stock and available for shipment. The Prairie Hawken Build-It-Yourself kits are also available.

Cowell said Kit Carson's original Hawken is housed at a Masonic lodge in Santa Fe, N.M. The rifle has been there since May 1868 after Carson willed it to Mason members.
