These jerseys honor the Packers rich history where the team first became publicly owned back in 1923. A moment so important, Packers Historian Cliff Christl says the team couldn’t even exist if they didn’t allow the community to buy stocks. But in honoring the past, even that had mixed reactions amongst fans.
The 1923 Classic uniforms will get their on-field debut against the Carolina Panthers at Lambeau Field. Kickoff is at noon, and the game will air live on FOX 11. The Packers unveiled the 1923 Classic uniform set in July. It is inspired by what the team wore in 1923, its first season as a publicly owned franchise.

The team will wear a version of the 1933 uniform, with some slight adjustments to the original.
The Carolina Panthers are the latest lesser opponent to give the Packers absolute fits this season. Green Bay's offense managed just 13 points against a Panthers team that had given up an average of over 25 points a game on the road and surrendered 40 points to Buffalo at home Oct. 26.
