CES 2025, which wrapped up on Friday, marked the first year I found more laptops than ever that hit this Holy Grail metric — and they did so without making the sacrifices often considered necessary to achieve a light form factor.

To say that CES was a PC show this year is an understatement. We spent time with dozens of laptops in Las Vegas, and these are our favorites across nine key categories.
