Having graduated from a Catholic grade school in the mid-’60s, wearing a white dress, high heels, cap and gown, I think that 8th grade graduation ceremonies ought to be eliminated.

PATERSON — For the first time in generations, the city's eighth graders will not wear caps and gowns at graduation ceremonies this June to mark the end of their elementary school days.
