The Vegas Golden Knights were reported to be in sign-and-trade discussions with the Toronto Maple Leafs involving Mitch Marner. Many speculated that Nic Hague would be one of the pieces going back to Toronto to make the deal line up. But on Sunday night, Hague was traded from Vegas to Nashville, per multiple reports.

Mitch Marner will be an unrestricted free agent on July 1. But the Maple Leafs appear to be ready to take action if he quickly signs with the Golden Knights.
