Parts of New Jersey are starting to get pelted by strong thunderstorms with heavy downpours, small hail and gusty winds, prompting the National Weather Service to issue severe thunderstorm warnings in one county Tuesday afternoon.

At 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the NWS Medford OR released a severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 5:30 p.m. for Siskiyou County.

On Tuesday at 6:07 p.m. an updated severe thunderstorm warning was released by the NWS Blacksburg VA in effect until 7:15 p.m. for Stokes and Surry counties.
