Sony is once again shaking up its leadership ranks. Effective April 1, Hideaki Nishino will be president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE). Nishino was appointed CEO of the division's Platform Business Group last year.

PlayStation has revealed that PS4 games will be deprioritized by PS Plus updates starting next year, marking a new, quieter era for the console.

One of the primary benefits for PlayStation Plus subscribers will be taken away in a year. Sony Interactive Entertainment announced PS4 games will no longer be a “key benefit” for subscribers. Games for the last gen platform will only be offered occasionally through PS Plus’ Monthly Games and Game Catalog perks.
