This marks the end of the second-longest dry period in Phoenix on record, just one day shy of breaking the longest record. The current record was set in 1972 with 160 days without measurable rain.
Dry streak ends in Phoenix, warmer weekend ahead
We are expecting plenty of sunshine starting Thursday through Sunday and temperatures will warm up in the lower 80s to end the weekend. Next week for the WM Phoenix Open, we are expecting even warmer temperatures and dry conditions. Highs will get up in the mid-80s on Monday and Tuesday, which is well above average for this time of year.
