Pakistan has formally recommended US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, citing his “decisive diplomatic intervention” after a spike in violence between India and Pakistan earlier this year.

In Karachi, a large American flag with a picture of Trump on it was placed on the road for demonstrators to walk over, along with chants against America, Israel and India.
