Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard is the recipient of the John Havlicek Trophy as the 2024-25 Kia NBA Sixth Man of the Year for his contributions in a reserve role.

Coming off winning a ring, he was asked to step up his role as sixth man and get the Celtics through the long grind of the NBA season. He did that with career highs of 14.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.

Payton Pritchard came off the bench and changed games for the Boston Celtics this season.He was the only player in the NBA with more than 1,000 points in games that he didn’t start. He set the league record for 3-pointers made by a backup.
