NASCAR penalized Austin Cindric 50 points and fined him $50,000 on Wednesday for intentionally spinning Ty Dillon in last weekend’s Cup Series race at Circuit of the Americas. Dillon moved Cindric up the track early in the race and Cindric quickly retaliated by hooking Dillon in the right rear,

Austin Cindric has been assessed a 50-point penalty and $50,000 fine after intentionally spinning Ty Dillon in the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas. Kyle Larson has also had two crew members suspended.

NASCAR Cup Series managing director Brad Moran said they will further examine the incident between Austin Cindric and Ty Dillon from Sunday’s race at COTA to determine if it warrants a penalty.
